The God Abraxas comes to us from ancient Egypt and Greece. He is associated with the early beginnings of Gnosticism which would later influence many of the first Gnostics who had gone on to form the various Abrahamic religions such as Judaism and Christianity. The famous Abraxas Talisman or Gem normally shows a man’s body with the head of a cock, one arm with a shield, and the other with a whip.
